If you're using Follow Up Boss as your CRM, you can export your leads and contacts as a CSV file and import them into roomvu to keep your network engaged with your content and email campaigns. Here's how the export works.
Before You Start
Permissions matter. In Follow Up Boss, exporting contacts is restricted to the account owner (and in some setups, admins). If you're an agent-level user and don't see the export option, ask your account owner to run the export for you.
The export arrives as a CSV file, which is exactly the format you'll want for importing elsewhere.
Option 1: Export All Contacts (Full Export)
Log in to Follow Up Boss
Click your account name in the top right and go to Admin
Select Export from the Admin menu
Click Export All Contacts
Follow Up Boss will process the export and send a download link to your email address
Open the email, download the CSV file, and save it somewhere you can find it
Larger databases can take a little while to process, so don't worry if the email doesn't arrive instantly.
Option 2: Export a Filtered List (Selected Contacts)
If you only want to export a specific segment, for example leads from a certain source, stage, or tag:
Go to the People tab in Follow Up Boss
Use filters, smart lists, or tags to narrow down the list to the contacts you want
Select the contacts (use the checkbox at the top to select all in the filtered view)
Open the mass actions menu and choose Export
Download the CSV from the link provided or from your email
This is handy when you want to bring only a specific audience into roomvu rather than your entire database.
What's in the Export
Your CSV will typically include names, email addresses, phone numbers, tags, sources, stages, and other contact fields stored in Follow Up Boss. Once you have the file, review it quickly to confirm the email column is populated for the contacts you care about.
