I Made Changes to My Profile, but They Were Not Applied to My Content. Why?

This article explains why profile changes may not appear in roomvu content, the difference between video branding and slideshow or news images, and how to update each correctly.

Some users reach out after updating their profile details such as photo, logo, or contact info and notice that those changes are not reflected across all their content. This usually happens because Roomvu displays user details in two different ways, depending on the content type.

This guide explains how profile updates work for videos versus slideshows and news images, and what to do in each case.


How User Details Are Applied in Roomvu Content

1. Videos (Intro and Outro Branding)

For videos, branding elements such as your photo, logo, and layout are not dynamic.

Video intros and outros are designed and generated by Roomvu’s design team. Because of this:

  • Updating your profile details will not automatically update video intros

  • Existing video branding will stay the same unless a redesign is requested

What to do if you want video branding updated

If you want changes reflected in your videos, you need to contact our team.

Please email info@roomvu.com using the same email address registered on your Roomvu account and include:

  • A clear description of what needs to be updated

  • Your new logo, photo, or other branding assets attached

Once received, our design team will review and update your video branding. Please note that this process is not immediate and may take some time.


2. Slideshows, News Images, and Other Static Content

For static content such as:

  • News images

  • Slideshows

  • Other non-video visuals

Your profile details are dynamic.

This means:

  • Changes to your photo, logo, or contact info will automatically apply

  • Newly generated content will use your updated details


Why Some Scheduled Content May Still Show Old Details

Even for slideshows and news images, content that is already scheduled in your content calendar may still use your previous branding.

This is expected behaviour.

What to do if you need changes applied immediately

If the updated branding is important right away:

  • Delete the already scheduled posts from your content calendar

  • Allow new content to be generated using your updated profile details

This ensures your next posts reflect the latest changes.


Summary

  • Videos: Branding is manual and must be updated by contacting Roomvu support

  • Slideshows and news images: Branding updates automatically

  • Scheduled content: May still show old details and may need to be deleted
