How to Fix Slideshow Issues (Empty Slides, Overlapping Text, Wrong Photos, or Template Problems)

This guide explains what to do if your roomvu slideshow has issues such as empty slides, overlapping text or branding, irrelevant photos, wrong slide order, or template problems.

Updated this week

In rare cases, you may notice problems in your slideshows, such as:

  • Empty slides (example: only a photo with no text or design elements)

  • Text or branding overlaps important parts of the image (example: AI Portrait face is blocked)

  • Irrelevant or incorrect photos

  • Design not matching your preference

  • Template needs to be changed

  • Slide order is not correct

If this happens, you can usually fix it quickly using one of the options below.

Option 1: Update Your Branding and Contact Info (Recommended First Step)

If the issue is caused by your branding details (name, contact info, logo, etc.), you can update your profile and your slideshows will use the latest information moving forward.

Steps to Update Your Profile Info

  • Log in to your roomvu dashboard

  • On the main page, click your profile photo

  • In your profile window, update any details you need, such as:

    • Name

    • Email address

    • Phone number / contact info

    • Logo

    • Brokerage logo

  • Click Save

✅ This is the best option if your slideshow issue is related to incorrect branding or outdated details.

Option 2: Manually Edit the Slideshow (Fix Slides, Photos, Templates, or Layout)

If you want to fix the slideshow design itself (layout, slide order, photos, or overlapping elements), you can edit the slideshow manually.

Steps to Edit Your Slideshow

  • Go to your Content Calendar

  • Find the slideshow post you want to fix

  • Click the post to open it

  1. Click Edit Slides

You will now see your slideshow slides on the right side.

How to Edit Each Slide

  1. Click a slide (one by one) to select it

  2. Use the left-side menu to make changes

Change the Slide Template (Fix Layout or Overlap Issues)

If text or branding is covering an important part of the image (like your AI Portrait face), try changing the template first.

  • After selecting a slide, choose a different Template

  • This changes the order and placement of elements on that slide

✅ This is the fastest way to fix layout issues without redesigning the slide.

Replace a Photo in a Slide

If you do not like the photo used in the slideshow (or it is irrelevant), you can replace it.

Steps to Replace the Photo

  1. Click the slide you want to edit

  2. Click the photo element in the slide

  3. Choose a new image from one of these options:

    • Location (location-based images)

    • Your Brand (your AI Portraits)

    • Upload your own content (from your computer)

✅ This helps fix slides that look off-topic or visually incorrect.

Edit Text or Elements Colors

After selecting a slide, you can click on any element to edit its color, such as:

  • Text boxes

  • Design banners

  • Other content blocks

This is helpful when:

  • A slide looks incomplete

  • Text feels too long

  • Important parts of the image are blocked

Change Slideshow Colors

If you do not like the colour style of the slideshow, you can change it easily.

Steps to Change Colours

  1. Open your slideshow and click Edit Slides

  2. From the left-side menu, go to the Colour section

  3. Select your preferred colours for the slideshow

✅ This helps make your slideshow look more on-brand and consistent.
