One of the best ways to make your slideshow content feel more relevant and local is by adding photos that reflect your city, neighbourhood, or market. roomvu allows you to customize the photos used in any slideshow slide, giving your content a more personal and geographically relevant look that resonates with your local audience.

How to change the photo in a slideshow slide
Go to your Content Calendar and find the slideshow you would like to edit.
Click on the slideshow to open it.
In the popup window, click Edit Slides.
Click on the specific slide you want to edit.
Click on the photo within that slide.
In the Background section, go to the City tab to browse available photos for your area.
Alternatively, use the search bar to find a specific type of photo, for example a skyline, neighbourhood street, or landmark.
Select the photo you want to use.
Click Save.
Apply to one or all slideshows?
After saving, you will be asked whether you want to apply this template change to all your slideshows or just the one you are currently editing.
β
We recommend choosing just the one being edited. Applying the same template and photo to all your slideshows means your content will start to look repetitive. Keeping each slideshow looking slightly different makes your feed more visually varied and engaging for your audience.
Why does this matter?
Using locally relevant photos in your slideshows makes your content feel more connected to the market you serve. A real estate agent sharing a market update with a recognizable city skyline or neighbourhood photo is far more compelling to a local audience than generic stock imagery. It is a small change that can make a real difference in how your content is received.

Tips for choosing great photos
Use photos that your audience will recognize, such as landmarks, parks, or well-known streets in your city.
Mix up the photos across different slideshows so your feed stays visually fresh.
Make sure the photo complements the content of the slide rather than distracting from it.
