How to Set Up Your AI Avatar in Roomvu

Roomvu allows you to create an AI Avatar so your content can feature a realistic, animated version of you. When setting up your AI Avatar, you can choose how it’s created based on your preference and comfort level.

This guide explains what AI Avatars and AI Portraits are, and how to set up your AI Avatar step by step.

AI Avatars are animated, hyper-realistic digital versions of you. They can move and speak using your cloned voice, making your videos feel as if you personally presented them without having to record yourself each time.

AI Avatars help you:

AI Portraits are static, AI-generated images created from your profile photo. They are visual representations of you and are often used in slideshows or video covers.

AI Portraits do not move and do not speak, but they can also be used as a base to create an AI Avatar.

Log in to your Roomvu account and click the gear icon on the top right corner of the page to enter Settings.

From the left menu, click AI Avatar & Voice.

Click Update My Avatar.

A pop-up window will appear with multiple options.

You have three options:

Option 1: Pick from AI Portraits
This option creates your AI Avatar using one of your existing AI Portraits, which are generated from your profile photo.

Option 2: Take a Selfie
This option uses the camera on your device to take a photo and generate a more hyper-realistic AI Avatar.

Option 3: Upload a Photo
You can upload a photo from your computer to generate your AI Avatar instead of using the camera.

Choose the option that best matches how you want your avatar to look.

Once your AI Avatar is created, it will be available for use in supported Roomvu content, helping your videos feel more personal and engaging.
