Many agents ask whether they can use their own real photo, rather than an AI-generated portrait, on their roomvu website or VuCard. The answer is yes. This feature is fully available, and setting it up takes just a couple of minutes.
How to Upload and Use Your Own Photo
Step 1: Open AI Portraits
Go to AI Portraits in your settings. You can also get there by clicking the gear icon ⚙️ on the main dashboard of your roomvu account, then clicking AI Portraits on the left menu.
Step 2: Go to Your Own Photos
Click the last tab: Your Own Photos.
Step 3: Upload your photo
Click Upload a Photo, browse your computer, and select the photo you'd like to use.
Photo requirements:
Format: JPEG (JPG) or PNG only
Resolution: at least 800 × 800 pixels, to ensure optimum quality on your website and VuCard
Other formats or smaller photos will not be accepted.
Step 4: Crop it
Once your photo is selected, crop it (square) to your preference.
Step 5: Set where it's used
Finally, set the photo to be used on your website, your VuCard, or both.
That's it, your real photo now represents you across the surfaces you selected.
Tips for the Best Result
Use a professional, well-lit headshot where your face is clearly visible
Since the crop is square, photos where your face is centered work best
Higher resolution than the 800 × 800 minimum is always welcome, sharper is better
