Exporting your contacts from Gmail and Yahoo Mail allows you to back them up or transfer them to another service. Follow the steps below to export your contacts from each platform.
Exporting Contacts from Gmail
1. Access Google Contacts:
• Log in to your Gmail account.
• Click the Google Apps icon (a grid) in the top-right corner and select Contacts.
2. Select Contacts to Export:
• In Google Contacts, choose the contacts you wish to export by clicking the checkboxes next to their names. To select all contacts, click the checkbox at the top of the list.
3. Initiate Export:
• Click the More actions icon (three vertical dots) and select Export.
4. Choose Export Settings:
• In the pop-up window, select the contacts you want to export and choose the export format:
• Google CSV: For importing into another Google account.
• Outlook CSV: For importing into Microsoft Outlook.
• vCard (VCF): For importing into Apple Address Book or other applications.
5. Complete Export:
• Click Export and save the file to your computer.
Exporting Contacts from Yahoo Mail
1. Access Yahoo Contacts:
• Log in to your Yahoo Mail account.
• Click the Contacts icon in the top-right corner.
2. Initiate Export:
• Click the More options icon (three dots) and select Export (CSV).
3. Save the File:
• Choose a location on your computer to save the exported contacts file.
