Why this integration matters
Before this feature, the process of sharing a Canva design on social media through roomvu required downloading the file, uploading it manually, and repeating the process for each platform. Now, once your Canva account is connected, all your designs are available inside roomvu instantly. You pick the design, write a caption, choose your platforms, set a date and time, and roomvu handles the rest automatically.
How to connect your Canva account and post your designs
Step 1: Make sure you are logged in to Canva
Before starting, make sure you are logged in to your Canva account in your browser.
Step 2: Open your Content Calendar
From your roomvu dashboard, click Content Calendar in the left menu.
Step 3: Access the Add Content option
Click Add Content or click Add / Create Content on any day in your calendar.
Step 4: Find and connect Canva
In the popup window, scroll down to find the Canva option at the bottom and click it. Click Connect Canva Account. A popup will appear from Canva asking for permission to connect to roomvu. Click Allow to grant access.
Step 5: Refresh and return
Once connected, go back to your Content Calendar window and refresh the page. Then repeat the process: click Add Content, scroll down to Canva. This time, all of your Canva designs will be imported and visible.
Step 6: Select your design
Click on any design to open a preview window. Here you can crop the design to fit your post. Once you are happy with how it looks, click Select Image.
Step 7: Schedule your post
You will be prompted to:
Write a caption for your post
Select the social media platforms you want to share it on
Set a date and time for the post to go live
Once done, your Canva design will be scheduled in your Content Calendar and posted automatically at the time you have set.
Things to keep in mind
You only need to connect your Canva account once. After the initial connection, your designs will always be available when you click the Canva option in Add Content.
If your designs are not showing up after connecting, refresh the page and go through the Add Content flow again.
You can crop your design during the import step to make sure it fits perfectly for social media.
