How to Activate and Use Roomvu AI Voice Clone

Learn how to activate roomvu AI Voice Clone, record your voice sample, generate your cloned voice, and troubleshoot common issues when the voice does not sound accurate.

roomvu's AI Voice Clone lets your content sound like it was spoken by you, even when you do not record a voiceover for every video.

By cloning your voice once, Roomvu can automatically use it across your content, helping you stay personal, consistent, and recognisable without extra effort.

This guide explains how to activate your AI Voice Clone and how to fix common issues.

What's New in Voice AI Training

We've made your voice clone noticeably better. When you train your voice now, you'll get:

  • A longer, more natural script to read, so the AI hears more of your real speaking style.

  • A 50-second minimum recording — the extra length produces a much higher-quality clone.

  • The option to upload a recording made on a high-quality microphone instead of recording in your browser.

Already have a voice clone from a while ago? See Improving an older voice clone below.

What Is the Roomvu AI Voice Clone?

The AI Voice Clone replicates your voice using a short voice sample.
Once activated, Roomvu uses this cloned voice to narrate your videos as if you recorded them yourself.

This helps:

  • Keep your content personal

  • Maintain consistency

  • Save time on repeated voice recordings

How to Activate Your AI Voice Clone

Step 1: Log in to your roomvu account

Sign in and stay on your main dashboard.

Step 2: Open Settings

Click the gear icon on the top right corner of the page to enter Settings.

Step 3: Go to Voice Over

From the left menu, click Talking Avatar

Step 4: Record your voice

Click Clone My Voice

A script will appear on the screen. It's now longer and more natural than before — read the whole thing so the AI captures your real speaking voice.

Step 5: Record (or upload) your voice sample

Option A — Record in your browser:

  • Press Record

  • Read the script shown on the screen in your natural speaking voice

  • Record for at least 50 seconds (the new minimum) — closer to a full minute is even better

  • Choose a quiet environment with no background noise

Option B — Upload a recording: If you have a high-quality microphone, you can record your sample on your own device and use the upload option instead of recording in the browser. This often gives the cleanest result.

The longer and clearer your recording is, the better the voice clone quality will be.

Step 6: Generate your voice clone

Once recording is complete:

  • Listen to your recording

  • If everything sounds clear and correct, click Generate Voice

  • If there are microphone issues or mistakes, click Retake and record again

After generation, your AI Voice Clone will be ready to use.

Where Your Voice Clone Is Used

Once activated, your AI Voice Clone is used in your Roomvu content wherever voiceovers are applied, making videos sound as if you personally narrated them.

Improving an Older Voice Clone

If you created your voice clone before this update, you may see a warning on your Clone Voice card prompting you to re-record. We recommend doing it. Re-record using the new, longer script (aim for at least 50 seconds), then regenerate your clone. The longer script and minimum length produce a noticeably more natural, higher-quality voice than older clones.

Troubleshooting: My Voice Clone Does Not Sound Like Me

If your AI Voice Clone does not sound accurate, this is usually due to an issue during the recording or cloning process.

Recommended fixes

We strongly recommend recording your voice again and making sure that:

  • You use a high-quality microphone (or use the upload option with a recording from one)

  • You record in a quiet environment with no background noise

  • You record at least 50 seconds — closer to a minute better trains the AI engine

  • You speak clearly and at a natural pace

Better input results in a more accurate voice clone.

Can I Re-record My Voice Clone?

Yes. You can re-record and regenerate your AI Voice Clone at any time by returning to Settings → Talking Avatar → Clone My Voice and recording a new sample.
