If you clicked Add Avatar on an editable video and received an “Avatar Generating Failed” error, don’t worry. This is a known, common issue, and it’s almost always caused by temporary technical glitches rather than anything wrong with your account. In the vast majority of cases, it resolves on its own.
Here’s what to do, in order.
Step 1: Verify Your Avatar and Voice Clone Are Set Up Properly
Before anything else, confirm that the two building blocks are in place:
Check your avatar
Go to your account settings and open the Talking Avatar section. Make sure your avatar has been created and appears there.
Check your voice clone is enabled
In your settings, make sure your voice clone is enabled for your content. An avatar needs your voice to speak with, so a disabled voice clone can interfere with generation.
Check your voice clone is working
Go to your Content Calendar and click any editable video to check if your voice is playing.
Step 2: Give It Some Time and Try Again
If your avatar and voice clone are set up correctly and generation still failed, the cause is a temporary glitch. The fix is patience:
Wait a little while, then try again. In about 90% of cases, the issue resolves on its own and no action is needed. We highly recommend trying again after a few hours.
Step 3: Still Failing After 24 Hours? Contact Support
If avatar generation keeps failing for more than 24 hours, or you’re running into other issues alongside it, reach out to us and we’ll investigate your account directly.
