In any given area, there are plenty of real estate agents, mortgage brokers, and advisors competing for attention. The ones people tend to trust are those who show up as the local expert, the person who genuinely knows the neighborhood. The Local Spot feature is built exactly for that: pick a local bakery, coffee shop, restaurant, or any neighborhood favorite, and roomvu turns it into a beautiful visual post of several slides, branded to you.
Why Local Spot Posts Work
Featuring the places that make your neighborhood special does two things at once: it gives your audience genuinely useful, enjoyable content about their own community, and it signals that you know the area inside out. Over time, that’s what builds the “local expert” reputation that wins trust, and clients.
If your website is connected with your own domain, these posts are also shared on your roomvu blog, strengthening that local-expert recognition in search and AI engines as well.
How to Create a Local Spot Post
Step 1: Open Add Content
Go to your Content Calendar and click Add Content. On the menu click "Local Spotlight"
Step 2: Confirm your neighborhood
You’ll see your neighborhood on the next step. If it’s not correct, click on the neighborhood to change it.
Step 3: Find your local spot
Type the name of a local spot, a bakery, coffee shop, restaurant, anything, and the search engine will find matching places. Pick the right one from the list and click it.
Step 4: Choose a style
Pick a style from the available options.
Step 5: Write the description (highly recommended: write it yourself)
A default description is already written for you, but we highly recommend replacing it with your own words. Your personal take on the spot, why you love it, what to order, a memory tied to it, is exactly what makes the content unique to you. A default description anyone could have; your comment is yours alone.
Step 6: Generate
Click Generate Content. Generation takes a few minutes and uses 20 AI credits.
Important: These Slideshows Are Not Editable
AI-generated Local Spot slideshows cannot be edited after generation:
Photos can’t be changed, they’re pulled from the internet for the spot you chose
Text and images on the slides can’t be modified
If you want a different result, you can regenerate the post. The one element you can control separately is the outro slide, which is customized from your Branding settings.
After Your Post Is Ready
Once generated, the post is scheduled on your calendar, and if you’ve connected your website with your own domain, it’s also shared on your roomvu blog, reinforcing your neighborhood-expert positioning where search and AI engines can find it. You can also download the slideshow and share it manually wherever you like.
