You can post great content every day and still be invisible if the basics are broken. These are the mistakes we see most often — and the quick fix for each. Run through them like a checklist.

If your handle is something like sunshine_mom_2009, clients can't find you and Google can't connect the dots. Fix: use your name — ideally name plus city or field — as your handle everywhere.

Platforms and search engines read your name field. If it's just your first name, you're invisible to local searches. Fix: first name, last name, and city — plus your field if you're in insurance or finance.

This is the big one. If your profile isn't claimed and verified, Google has no reason to recommend you. Fix: claim it at google.com/business and complete verification — don't stop halfway.

A brand-new account with 40 followers signals you haven't done the work, and the algorithm barely shows your content. Fix: import your contacts and invite your sphere on every platform. Aim for at least 200 connections each.

Inconsistent or missing photos break trust and confuse both people and algorithms. Fix: put the same professional headshot on all four platforms.

When every profile says something slightly different, Google stops trusting your information. When every source matches, Google marks you as real and recommends you. Fix: same name, same handle, same photo, everywhere.

If your content isn't clearly you, Google may treat it as AI-generated filler and AI search engines won't cite you. Fix: add your face and voice — a Face Message or AI Avatar — so your content is unmistakably yours.
