When you record an intro or face message video on Roomvu, you want to look your best. That is why we have added the Beauty Filter feature to our video recording tools. With a range of filter options to choose from, you can enhance your on-camera appearance and present yourself more professionally to your audience, directly from within Roomvu.
What is the Beauty Filter?
The Beauty Filter is a camera enhancement tool that improves your appearance in real time while you record. It helps smooth out minor imperfections and compensates for small inconsistencies in image quality, giving your videos a more polished and professional look.
This feature was inspired by similar tools used in major video conferencing platforms, and was added to Roomvu based on direct feedback from our users.
Important things to know before you start
The Beauty Filter works best when your recording environment is already set up well. Keep the following in mind:
The filter can help with minor appearance imperfections and moderate image quality issues.
It will not fully compensate for poor lighting. Make sure you are recording in a well-lit space, ideally with light facing you rather than behind you.
It will not make up for a very low quality camera. For the best results, use the best camera available to you.
How to access and use the Beauty Filter
From your Roomvu dashboard, click on any video in your Content Calendar.
Click Add Face Message.
Choose between Intro Video or Face Message depending on your preference.
Before you start recording, click Apply Effects.
Here you will find a range of recording effects including background blur, mirror image, and virtual backgrounds.
Click on the Beauty Filter option to see the available filter styles.
Choose the filter that works best for your look and recording environment.
Once you are happy with your selection, start recording.

Off - No filter applied
Natural - Subtle, everyday enhancement
Studio - Clean and professional look suited for indoor recordings
Interview - Polished appearance ideal for a formal or professional setting
Soft Light - Gentle brightening with a soft tone
Bright - Adds brightness and clarity to your image
Pro Portrait - Professional-grade enhancement for a refined look
Warm - Adds warm tones for a friendly and approachable feel
Outdoor - Optimized for recordings in natural or outdoor light
Cool - Adds cooler tones for a crisp, modern look
Matte - Smooth, flat finish with reduced shine
Vivid - Boosts color and contrast for a vibrant appearance
Fresh - Light and clean look with a natural glow
Crisp - Sharp and clear with enhanced definition
Polished - Refined and camera-ready finish
We recommend trying a few options before recording to find the one that works best for your specific lighting and camera setup.
