How to Exclude Cities and Areas from Your Roomvu Content

Updated this week

This tutorial explains how to exclude specific cities or geographic areas from appearing in your Roomvu content feed. It walks through the built-in location blocking feature that lets you prevent posts about certain markets from being generated or scheduled, while keeping your main coverage area unchanged.

The video shows where to find these controls inside your Roomvu account. After logging in, you will learn how to open your profile settings using the gear icon in the top right corner and navigate to the Marketing Location section. From there, it demonstrates how to use the “block content by location” option to search for and select cities or areas you want to exclude.

It also clarifies how the filtering behaves after a location is blocked. Content related to excluded areas is removed from your generated stream and calendar suggestions, while your primary market settings continue to function normally. The process is reversible, and blocked locations can be edited or removed later through the same settings panel.

The result is tighter geographic control over your automated content, fewer irrelevant posts, and a cleaner match between your published material and your intended service areas.
